This week in my Instructional design class we have been working on lesson plans and I am going to use School House Rock grammar videos to help my students understand grammar better. What I am concerned about is if students will check out and disengage because there's a video.
Keeping the students engageed and focused is very important and this is a valid concern. What I would personally do that I have seen other teachers and professors do is give the students a worksheet concerning the video. This will require the students to really pay attention to the video so that they can answer the questions on the worksheet.
